Snail Driver is free and compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10. The install is quick and easy, but the program's interface is what makes it so simple to use. Upon opening Snail Driver, a blue window is presented with a large button that reads "Scan" -- it's quite obvious what one needs to do in order to get started using the program. The scan is fairly quick, and you have the option to stop it at any time. Once Snail Driver has checked your system, you'll see a screen with a list of drivers that you can update. With just one click of the "Update" button, Snail Driver will install the most current hardware drivers available and you'll be good to go.
This software is definitely helpful and it actually works. The mouse pad on my laptop had been erratic for quite some time. It would freeze up, move where I wasn't trying to point, and generally annoy me whenever I was trying to work. While reviewing the scan results presented by Snail Driver, I realized that the need to update drivers was probably the source of the problems I'd been having. Since using Snail Driver, my mouse has been working just like it should.
